PamStamp

Stamping Simulation Software - Engineering Systems Int'l Corp

The company's 2000 versions of its stamping simulation software allow users to simulate stamping operations from the early design stage to the whole manufacturing process. It includes PAM-QUIKSTAMP, a rapid validation tool for part and design feasibility; PAM-DIEMAKER, a dedicated software for die addendum design; as well as OPTRIS and PAM-STAMP, two comprehensive validation stamping simulation tools.

PAM-QUIKSTAMP offers fast assessment of the formability of the part and qualitative evaluation of the die adenddum. The new incremental version takes into account key parameters, such as elastoplastic behavior, friction and blankholder pressure with uncoupled membrane bending formulation.

PAM-DIEMAKER is for the binder surface and die addendum building phase in the design of the stamping die. This software helps users design and optimize stamped parts die addendum. It becomes possible to create a realistic die design in a few minutes, far upstream in a project. It develops production run-offs areas without modifying the geometry in CAD application. Coupling this with PAM-QUIKSTAMP allows rapid assessment of part feasibility and die addendum optimization.

OPTRIS is a virtual try-out tool for press forming simulation, which increases the efficiently in the stamping simulation, the company says. Among new capabilities, a multi-stage option enables users to perform a global data input of a stamping process in a single project, from gravity to springback. Other new features include macro-commands for easier data input and mapping to transfer thickness and plastic strain from one mesh to another.

PAM-STAMP offers a comprehensive stamping solution that reduces costs and time to market. It enables metal producers to validate if a part can be formed with their steel or aluminum products. This software enables virtual try-out of new forming processes, such as tube bending, hydroforming and flanging, and it offers reliable and accurate solutions for springback calculations.
